Introducing Antonia Hirsch: A Berlin-Based Artist of Distinction

Antonia Hirsch, a remarkable artist currently residing in Berlin, was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She pursued her BA at the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London before relocating to Vancouver, Canada, where she lived and worked from 1994 to 2010. Hirsch's exceptional talents have been recognized with numerous awards from esteemed institutions such as the Canada Council for the Arts, the British Columbia Arts Council, the City of Vancouver, Stiftung Kunstfonds (Germany), and Hessische Kulturstiftung (Germany).

Her creative journey has also led her to participate in Artist in Residence programs at renowned institutions like the Banff Center for the Arts (Canada), the Cité des Arts in Paris (France), and CCA Andratx (Spain).

Antonia Hirsch's captivating work has graced the walls of numerous galleries and museums, including the Contemporary Art Gallery in Vancouver, MIT List Visual Arts Center in Cambridge, The Power Plant in Toronto, Salzburger Kunstverein (Austria), Taipei Fine Arts Museum (Taiwan), Tramway in Glasgow, Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art in Rotterdam, and ZKM Museum of Contemporary Art in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Her impressive oeuvre can also be found in prestigious public collections, such as the Vancouver Art Gallery, the National Gallery of Canada, and the Sackner Archive for Concrete and Visual Poetry in Miami Beach.
